Have you ever thought about making your own books? In this 4-week course, you’ll learn about bookbinding basics while making multiple book structures. Not only that, you’ll spend the first class making paste paper to use in your binding work. Bookbinding is a satisfying, hands-on craft — give it a try!

All classes start at 6pm. Allow 2 to 2.5 hours per session.

9/17 Week 1 - Learn to make Paste Paper (you’ll use this in all our book projects)
9/24 Week 2 - Explore the possibilities of Pamphlets
10/1 Week 3 - Variations on the Accordion Book
10/8 Week 4 - Single-signature hardcover book

At the end of the course, you’ll go home with 8-9 books and any remaining paste paper.

All materials and tools are provided. Materials are taxable under WA state code, so they’re listed separately. Sorry for any confusion.
